Hi everyone

I hope you've all had a good summer holiday away from SCD. I've missed it and am looking forward to this season. At least I know all the people involved, which makes a change.

Going to talk about me for a second. I had a fall last October and they had to give me a new left hip. Problem was they found it was riddled with cancer. They got out what they could and the rest was to be removed by another specialist cancer hospital. They didn't get their act together very quickly and as a result I'm now living on borrowed time with my MacMillan nurse who has told me to take no notice of my oncologist who has given me 3-6 months and work with her with my PMA. Well, next Tuesday is my 3 months and hopefully I'll still be here.

Boxing Day is my next marker. Mum has given us her savings account contents so we can buy ourselves a caravan. We have found a beautiful site in the Dales. It is a lovely, quiet area and I get such peace and quiet sitting on the veranda in my zero gravity chair, sipping my Pimms and Lemonade.

My nurse has said to stay here as often as possible as it's doing me good. I walk better here. I laugh more and I do more. I cook, I read, I try not to panic about my future.

I may not see all this year's SCD but I sincerely hope I do. I'm doing the most I can to keep going.

This included getting married in August. It went well and I used my crutches, not my wheelchair. It was a lovely afternoon

I might need some help this series. I have the same 2ndry cancer as Linda Nolen. It's scary but I'm giving it the best shot I can.

Have a good season people. XXX

Thank you for being there Bren. Could not believe it when they found the 2ndry cancer. Gather my GP and original kidney oncologist missed it. I cry a lot these days but you can't cry up here for long. It's such a happy place.
