And then there were three.

YouTube star Bethany Mota was voted off Dancing With The Stars leaving just the rest of the celebrity contestants to battle it out for the Mirrorball trophy.

The Season 19 title will now be taken home by either Janel Parrish, Sadie Robertson or Alfonso Ribeiro on Tuesday night’s finale

Latest castoff: Bethany Mota was unable to continue on to the final round on Dancing With The Stars on Monday

In the first round of Monday night’s competition each celebrity performed a dance picked by the judging panel.

Bethany, 19, and five-time champion Derek Hough had to perform the jive they did in week one of the competition.

Bruno Tonioli said he had chose the dance for them because Bethany had originally struggled with the transitions within it.

Second time around: Judge Bruno Tonioli assigned Bethany and her partner Derek Hough the jive for their first dance

After they completed the dance, Derek was quick to complain to host Tom Bergeron that a mix-up with the show's set had knocked off their timing.

'The set didn't move out. It kinda messed us up a little bit, but big props to the production crew, all good guys, don’t worry about it,' whinged Derek.

'I must say this was a big improvement from week one. It was a great way to start the show, well done,' said judge Len Goodman.

'You are so comfortable now, I don't even see Derek. You have improved so drastically,' said Hough's sister, Julianne Hough.

'Everything counts and I have to say you are the ideal student, everything I told you you did right, but there was an incident where the timing went off kilter, maybe because of the set,' said Bruno.

Carrie Ann Inaba said she had seen 'tremendous' growth since week one but that there had been technical mistakes in the performance.

The couple received a total of 36 out of 40 in the voting.

Next up were Sadie Robertson, 17, and Mark Ballas, who were given the samba to perform.

Video footage was shown of 'excited' Sadie throwing up into a bucket after last week's performance, which she said took her friendship with Mark to another level.

And during rehearsals for the dance One Direction star Liam Payne showed up to give Sadie his support.

Sadie and Mark performed their samba in full camouflage and Duck Dynasty feathers, with Mark splitting his pants during the routine.

'This time I liked it even better,' said Julianne.

'The Quack Pack is celebrating. It is like watching a fledgling find its wings week after week and soaring to unexpected heights. This was wonderful but a couple of times you were slightly behind with the timing,' said Bruno.

'Out of all the competitors I did not expect to see you here in the finals, but after watching you that is exactly why you are here. You are incredible,' said Carrie Ann.

The judges gave the team a score of 38 out of 40.

Next up were Janel Parrish, 26, and Val Chmerkovskiy, dancing a samba picked by Julianne.

It was revealed that Janel had suffered a rib injury in rehearsals just hours before the live show that required physical therapy.

'I am freaking out a little bit,' she said through tears as the cameras rolled on her treatment.

But Janel managed to power through the performance to cheers from the judges.

'I feel hot in here. You attacked all the boxes, the passion was pulsating just you lost balance a bit on the turn, probably because of your injuries. It was a shame as it was a wonderful dance,' said Bruno.

'Girl, you are a warrior dancer and you really kicked that samba’s booty,' said Carrie Ann.

'I didn't notice any mistake, what I did see was great rhythm dancing mixed with a clarity and a sharpness which is so hard to get,' said Len.

The pair were given a score of 37 out of 40 as Janel said she had to ice her injury between dances.

Closing out the first round was Alfonso Ribeiro, 43, and Witney Carson, who had to perform a jive, chosen by judge Carrie Ann Inaba.

Ribeiro has been battling back injuries and had to let his body heal for much of the week to perform on the show.

'You set the bar from day one with that dance and tonight you slapped the jive in the face with it,' said excited Carrie Ann.

'You danced like Frank Sinatra sings. He was easy on the ear and you are easy on the eye. You have just taken an enormous step into that finale,' said Len.

'Absolutely everything connected, there is not one thing that you missed, it was so on point,' said Julianne.

And the judges rewarded the pair with the night's first perfect score of 40.

First up in the Freestyle round were Bethany and Derek, who danced to the song Revolution.

'There was added pressure on me knowing that Derek has won so much on the show. I did not want to be that partner that he did not succeed with,' admitted Bethany before the dance.

'That is a five-star freestyle,' gushed judge Len.

'I am obsessed. You have been a leader for your fans around the world and for what you stand for, and you could not have done a better job,' Julianne told Bethany.

'It was like watching a dancing Katniss on Catching Fire, you really have done that, you are strong, you are powerful and you have the making of a leader,' said Bruno.

'You are a fighter, you killed it, you drew all the energy in and were the center of that incredible performance,' said Carrie Ann.

The judges gave the pair a maximum score of 40 for the performance, for a total of 76.

Next up was Sadie and Mark, whose unusual dance was done on the theme of Nintendo's classic Mario Bros. video game.

'Game Over! That was the cutest thing I have ever seen, that was so creative,' said Julianne.

'That was refreshing and original, totally inspired, I was hit by wave upon wave of absolute joy,' said Bruno.

'Welcome to the Hall of Fame. That was one of the most memorable freestyle dances we have seen in ages,' said Carrie Ann.

'This I promise you I will never forget, it was absolutely brilliant,' said Len.

The judges gave the pair a maximum score of 40, for a combined score of 78.

Up third was the pair of Janel and Val, who did a stripped down and intimate dance to a sultry version of 500 Miles.

'This was the visualization of a love poem, it touched everybody's soul and it was so moving. It was hypnotically beautiful,' said Bruno.

'Your dance went inside all of us and you changed us for a minute. You guys together as a team are immaculate, that was incredible and beautiful,' said Carrie Ann.

'It was just the two of you, no messing around, it combined athleticism with artistry. It was a fantastic number,' said Len.

'That was so honest and so pure and shows the trust you have had since day one, it was absolutely breathtaking,' said Julianne.

The judges gave them a perfect score of 40, giving them a total score of 77.

Completing the dances were Alfonso and Witney, with the actor introducing some of his tap dancing skills into it.

'No matter how much pain I'm going to be in after it, when I am on the dance floor I am going to give it everything I have got,' said Alfonso before the dance.

'That was the ultimate in freestyle, you threw in everything that sums up Dancing With the Stars,' said Carrie Ann.

'It was an all you can eat buffet of great dancing, fun and entertainment. I hope that America does the right thing and goes for the best dancer,' said Len.

'That is how you tap your way to the top it was in your face and an undeniable showstopper in the great American way,' said Bruno.

The pair were also given a maximum of 40 points for an overall score of the 80 maximum.

The on the night scores were then combined with the scores from last week and the public votes to determine who was sent home.
