DANCING On Ice bosses are auditioning celebrities for the next series -

EastEnders star Matt, who films his final -

The handsome actor, 22, who dates sexy co-star Shona McGarty, 20, looks set to sign up for the show once his contract has been sorted.

Glamour model turned body-builder Jodie Marsh has also been spotted being put through her paces by TV producers at the Alexandra Palace ice rink in North London.

An insider revealed that the show is keen to sign her up as ITV1 bosses are desperate for a bit of drama and a lot more hype.

But if Jodie, 33, decides not to join they can always count on H from Steps to take her place. The singer, real name Ian Watkins, 36, couldn’t wait to show off his skills on the ice during his audition.

He has told friends it would be a real “Tragedy” if he didn’t make the final cut.

An ITV source told the Daily Star Sunday: “As always they want to get the mix of celebrity contestants right.

“The show was slammed as being boring last time around so bosses are keen to pick people who will make the headlines.

“And in Jodie’s case it doesn’t have to be for the right reasons.

“She loves the limelight and they reckon she’d be great on the show. They also want Matt.

“They approached him after he said he wanted to do Strictly Come Dancing so he really is top of their list.

“He’s you -

The source added: “Contracts have yet to be signed but they’re currently sorting out who they want from the auditions.

“Matt finishes at EastEnders next month so he’d be able to have a bit of time off before starting the training in September.

“Talks are ongoing with everyone they’ve seen but Matt and Jodie are two of the favourites.”

The last series of Dancing On Ice was beaten in the ratings war by BBC drama Call The Midwife, which also ran on Sunday nights.

The insider said: “There is going to be a major shake-up of the judges and they want contestants who will appeal to all ages. The crazier and louder the better is what they’re thinking.” - Daily Star
