There's no denying Gary Barlow is one busy man this year.

But after initial fears there wouldn't be enough time to balance all his commitments, the Take That singer has decided to judge The X Factor for second year in a row.

The 41-year-old singer apparently told ITV bosses this week he was determined to come back.

However, his decision to come back means his X Factor work may clash with the birth of his fourth child.

His wife Dawn is due to give birth in August - around the time Barlow would be filming the Judges' Houses section of the show, which are traditionally abroad.

Last year, Barlow thousands of miles away in Los Angeles with Robbie Williams as he selected Marcus Collins, Frankie Cocozza, Craig Colton and James Michael for his 'Boys'.

A source told The Sun: 'Everyone was delighted Gary agreed to come back for another series of X Factor. There's no ink on the contract, but he's good for his word.

'He was being a bit sheepish about his decision though because the diary has kicked up some problems.

'Gary has promised he'll be present for the birth, but Simon Cowell is a tough task master. It could be very tricky.'

Aside from his X Factor commitments - which will take up half the year - he's also in charge of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Concert.

Earlier this month he travelled to Jamaica to record some of the music for the gig.

Original judge Louish Walsh and Tulisa Contostavlos are both expected back, but Kelly Rowland is yet to confirm.

London singer Estelle has been touted as a possible replacement if the Destiny's Child star decides to leave.

Last month, Cheryl Cole denied speculation she was planning to return to the show, insisting X Factor was part of her 'past'.
