X Factor star Tulisa red-faced over Children in Need microphone blunder
X Factor's Tulisa Contostavlos apologised to fans last night after her appearance on Children in Need was wrecked by a faulty microphone.

The N-Dubz singer took to the stage as part of The Collective – a supergroup put together to perform this year's official song for the charity.

Based on the hit Teardrop by Massive Attack, the track was put together by Gary Barlow and The Collective also featured Ed Sheeran and Rizzle Kicks.

But viewers were left wondering what was wrong with Tulisa when it came to her turn in the spotlight, with the Telegraph's live blog describing her vocals as 'practically inaudible'.

Later, the X Factor judge took to social network Twitter to explain the problem and suggested her microphone had not even been switched on.
'Wow I got darked difo, how can my mic not b on, sorry guys not my fault didn't even know lol x,' (sic) Tulisa wrote.

It was one negative on an otherwise successful night for Children in Need, which featured performances from the likes of JLS, Westlife and One Direction.

At the close of the show at 2am this morning, host Sir Terry Wogan revealed the total raised had passed the £26million mark - an all-time record. - Source
