I love egg and chip butties, with tommy sauce,
and chips and gravy is lush too, mmm mmmm. and baked beans and gravy too, very nice, treacle sandwiches, mmmm, also I was brought up on grilled cheese with strawberry jam on top it is soooo deeeelicious, my kids luv it too, Roasties, gravy and mint sauce, cut roasties in half, squash them down in the gravy so they soak all the gravy and mint sauce up, surrounded by roeast parsnips... slurppppp.. I've just skimmed this. Are we talking about favourite winter food? Then it has to be my mum's lentil, potato and ham soup followed by roast turkey breast, gravy, parsnips, garden peas and roast potatoes. Oh and a yorkshire pudding.
Also baked beans fried in some bacon fat until the sauce goes really thick and then put them on some toast or just in a sandwich. *fat bastard* |

I've just found this thread - for me it has to be my gran's stew and dumplings, thing is I never eat it now though cos I've never found any stew and dumplings that tasted as good as my gran's, I wish she'd left me the recipe.
I'm going away from this Food & Drink forum now, I'm getting starving reading about all the food on here
