Tears of a clown: Fan favourite Andy Dick chokes back sobs following devastating elimination on Dancing With The Stars

He’s renowned for a string of arrests and boomeranging through rehab, but it seems that Andy Dick took his dancing very seriously.

The madcap comic teared-up on Tuesday when he was eliminated from Dancing With The Stars after making it through to the seventh round.

‘It’s been the best,’ choked the 47-year-old, who has struggled with drug and alcohol addiction for the last decade.

Tears of a clown: Comedian Andy Dick wept as he faced elimination on this week's Dancing With The Stars

‘Carrie Ann I’m going to kill you for that five,’ he said waving his fist at the judge who gave him the lowest score on Monday night’s Latin-themed evening.

‘It was all your fault,’ added the comedian, while trying to laugh off the failure.

Andy, who was partnered with Dancing With The Stars newbie Sharna Burgess, had become a firm fan favourite for his good humour, quirkiness and enthusiasm.

Fan favourite: Andy previously had skated through the competition on his charm and quirky humour

Showdown: Andy and partner Sharna Burgess faced off against Ingo Rachemacher and professional dancer Kym Johnson

Red hot pair: General Hospital star Ingo and dancer Kym emerged victorious in the competition and will continue to the next round

However he was clearly one of the weaker contestants and his likeable personality could not carry him any further.

'It's amazing I made it this far,' he laughed, while wiping tears from under his glasses and kissing his partner on the head.

Andy had been left in the bottom two alongside General Hospital heartthrob Ingo Rademacher who faced elimination after some stodgy and 'staccato' hip movements on Latin night.

Thin ice: Jacoby Jones and partner Karina Smirnoff also were placed in jeopardy during Tuesday night's elimination broadcast

Safe for now: The pair managed to maintain a weak hold on the competition

Break on through: Bachelor star Sean Lowe and partner Peta Murgatroyd will climb to the next level of the dance competition

At the other end of the spectrum were Kellie Pickler and Derek Hough. The hot couple were immune from elimination after a near perfect score for their smouldering samba on Monday.

Grammy-winning crooner Michael Bublé, who has sold over 40 million albums worldwide, dropped in to sing Come Dance With Me.

The judges chose to have an encore from Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman, 18, who did a flirty and fruity salsa with her partner Mark Ballas.

After gaining 29 points last night Aly sailed on to the next stage of the competition.

Smooth sailing: Gymnast Aly Raisman and Mark Ballas sailed through to the next round

Without a hitch: Disney star Zendaya and Val Chmerkovskiy seamlessly passed to the next level

Looking on the bright side: 'It's been the best,' newly eliminated Andy said of his experience on the show

After gaining three nines last night 16-year-old Disney star Zendaya Coleman went through to next week while NFL hulk Jacoby Jones was placed in jeopardy.

The former Baltimore Ravens wide receiver was already in trouble for hitting pro dancer Kym Johnson in the head with a football during rehearsals.

‘I’m not a quarterback,’ he said in his defense.

Musical guest: Crooner Michael Buble arrived to provide entertainment during the broadcast

Surrounded: The singer seemed to be enjoying his appearance on the series as he grooved beside a bevy of beautiful dancers

Showing some affection: Following their elimination, Andy's partner Sharna planted a kiss on the crestfallen comic's cheek

Jacoby, 28, was left in the bottom three but was not eliminated.

Bruno told him that he stuck out his butt like he’s ‘going to the toilet’ which left The Bachelor star Sean Lowe among the weaker dancers.

But the 29-year-old was also saved to dance another day with his partner Peta Murgatroyd.

The Camden Sophisticated Sisters, a group of youth dancers from disadvantaged backgrounds in the New Jersey city, did an energetic routine.

Tomorrow's stars: The episode featured an appearance by the Camden Sophisticated Sisters, a youth dance collective from New Jersey

Practice makes perfect: The young dancers showed off some moves during a rehearsal for their TV debut

Taking the stage: The girls then stole the spotlight as they revealed a raucous choreographed routine

After loosing her leg in the Boston bombings Adrian Haslet has become a beacon of positivity and hope.

She has recently agreed to perform on the series when she is further along in her recovery.

The professional ballroom dancer had been enjoying watching the marathon with her husband, who had just got back serving in Afghanistan.

‘It was a beautiful Boston day, we were just enjoying the sunshine,’ she recalled of the day, April 15, before the horror began.

Inspiration: Professional dancer Adrian Haslet, who lost a leg during the Boston bombing, will perform on an upcoming episode of the competition

Artistic expression: ‘I feel like I am flying when I dance,' Adrian said of her creative outlet

Adrian, who was just four feet away from where the bomb exploded, was devastated to learn that she had lost her leg in the hospital later.

‘My family let me cry and punch pillows and be angry…and go through the dirty part of this, not being able to get up and dance every morning,’ sobbed Adrian, who said the period since the bomb is the longest she has gone without dancing for as long as she can remember.

‘I feel like I am flying when I dance,’ said Adrian, who added that she was ‘thrilled’ to be asked to appear on the show.

‘I can’t wait,’ she added.

Support system: The professional dancer has soldiered through her recovery with the assistance of her beloved family
