Vander-dumped! Real Housewives Lisa is kicked off Dancing With The Stars after soldiering on despite battling viral infection

By Daily Mail Reporter

She ignored her doctor's orders and bravely danced despite fainting in rehearsals.

But bravery was not enough to save London-born reality TV star Lisa Vanderpump from being the latest victim on Dancing With The Stars.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills admitted 'I actually thought for a second I'd lost my mind' when she decided to press ahead despite being so ill with a viral infection.

Moment of truth! Real Housewives Lisa Vanderpump looked worried as she was about to learn her fate on Dancing With The Stars on Tuesday

Disappointed She embraced Russian hunk Gleb Savchenko after learning she had been eliminated

And she seemed almost relieved when told that she and dance partner, Russian hunk Gleb Savchenko, were being eliminated instead of boxer Victor Ortiz and his pro, Lindsay Arnold.

'It's been six long weeks and boy has it taken its toll,' she said,  in a short sparkly purple dress.
'It's been the hardest thing I've ever done.'

But asked if she was happy to have taken part despite her illness, she insisted: 'Just to be included with this group of people - a wonderful bunch of people - yes I am really happy.

Speaking out: Lisa heaped praise on her partner after her spell on the show came to a sudden end

Beaten but unbowed: The 52-year-old was proud she had battled on despite having a viral infection

Close call: Lisa and Gleb were up against boxer Victor Ortiz and his pro, Lindsay Arnold for elimination

Having a laugh: Head judge Len Goodman could see the funny side despite a fellow English star being axed

'I just want to thank my castmates - they have been amazing, they made it so much fun.'
Of Gleb, she said: 'I was given a gift dancing with him, he's so patient.'

But she insisted that rumors that she was heavily flirting with him were wide of the mark - but not necessarily the rumors that she had a crush on the show.

'Len if you are watching this I actually think you are quite cute,' she said in a recorded message for judge Len Goodman.

Tough as teak: Ill Lisa had danced on the show despite appearing disorientated after fainting mid practice

Sprawled on the floor: Lisa suddenly collapsed on the floor mid practice, much to the concern of her partner Gleb Savchenko

Hands aloft in triumph: Lisa only just made it onto the floor at the last minute

Making it all worthwhile: Lisa got to oogle her hunky partner Gleb after he danced topless bar a pair of braces

'I actually like older men - I don't mess around with young kids like this - I like older men so if you're watching,' she joked, winking at the camera.

First to be told they were safe were gymnast Alexandra Raisman and Mark Ballas, followed by Disney star Zendaya Coleman and Val Chmerkovskiy and then country star Kellie Pickler and partner Derek Hough.

But most relieved must have been Bachelor Sean Lowe and partner Peta Murgatroyd who had been left truly despondent after their latest performance and convinced they would come in bottom.

Sean and Peta even joked that they should 'go throw up together' because they were so upset and sickened at the thought of being kicked off.

More country for old men: Brad Paisley dusted down his cowboy hat to perform Southern Comfort

Padding out the time slot: There were plenty of razzle dazzle dance routines from the show's pros

After being teased by host Tom Bergeron that they had a 'sixth sense' what was happening, they leapt for joy and hugged after being told they were actually safe.

'We need to redeem ourselves,' Sean said later of his thoughts of next week. 'I accept the challenge.'

American football star Jacoby Jones salsa thought he would be out because of his pro Karina Smirnoff starting her dance prematurely, but it did not effect scoring and they were safe.

Despite being first to be made safe, it was not all smooth sailing for Alexandra and Mark on the night.
They performed a contemporary dance at the beginning of the show - and Ali staggered and almost fell, ironically as the words 'I won't fall' were being sung.

Still in the competition are Alexandra Raisman, Zendaya Coleman, Kellie Pickler, Sean Lowe, Soap opera star Ingo Rademacher, American football star Jacoby Jones, boxer Victor Ortiz and comedians D.L. Hughley and Andy Dick.

Practice makes perfect: The show's resident beefcake Derek Hough was shown rehearsing his routine with blind ballerina Brilynn Rakes

Spectacular: And it paid off when they delivered the performance of the night for the audience at home
