Psy was a guest performer on Australia's X Factor last night. On Monday, the host said that an on-line poll named Mel B as the judge the public wanted to see dance with Psy. She initially resisted saying it wasn't in her contract, but relented on tuesday night.

I found a newspaper article about this (2 weeks old now)entitled "Mel's scary Psy Slip-up" in the Sydney Daily Telegraph 19.10.12. It was about an observation that co-judge Guy Sebastian made,

"......In a light super-tight acid yellow mini-dress, Brown attempted the Gangnam Style dance with their visiting guest star but Sebastian said it was something else that caught the attention of he and fellow judges Ronan Keating and Natalie Bassingthwaighte.
Its understood that Brown went 'commando' due to the sheer nature of the dress - with eyepopping consequences.
"People would have liked to have had the view where we were in the judging panel - yes it was 'scary'," Sebastian said with a wry smile adding that the sheer dress gave away "a little too much information"

I am watching the result show for the grand final for the Australian X factor. The judges were going through their favourite moments. The host said his favourite moment was when Mel danced with Psy. He asked Mel if she would dance it again tonight. She declined saying her gown was slit to the thigh, but she was wearing underwear.

Mel B was really entertaining on the UK X Factor as a guest judge, there is talk that she'll be returning as a full time judge for X Factor 2013

Welcome to the Blue Room tallboy.

Mel is pretty popular in Australia. She has been the co-host of Dancing With the Stars for 2012 and an X Factor judge in 2011 and 2012 and is one of the celebrity endorsers of a weight loss program which she did use to lose her post pregnancy weight in 2011. She sets up house here when she has long commitments and is currently embroiled in a court case against a paparazzi member who allegedly endangered her life when she was sailing on the harbour and threatened her husband. I don't think she will be going home until the court case is over.
Mel and Ronan Keating are pretty popular here as X Factor judges.
Mel had a soft spot and a good working relationship with her grand finalist mentee, Jason Owen, who came second in the competition. She got him to do things out of his comfort zone and got him to evolve into a very confident young man with a good stage presence.

If Mel does become a full time judge on your X Factor, that would mean a clash with the Australian version at some point. We will have to wait and see what happens as she couldn't do both as Len and Bruno do with DWTS in the US and Strictly CD in Britain. Travelling time between US and UK is a lot different to UK and Australia.
