'Who will bring me cakes now?' Jayne Torvill says farewell to Sam Nixon after he becomes the latest Dancing On Ice evictee

It's the place no one wants to end up, but Chico and Sam Nixon landed in the bottom two tonight.

The children's TV presenter was given his marching orders as the judges gave a clean sweep.

Sam joins television co-host Mark Rhodes, who was voted off Dancing On Ice in week three.

Gutted: Sam Nixon becomes the latest Dancing On Ice evictee

Judge Louie Spence said: 'This is a difficult one as you both stepped it up, but Chico you added finesse and I'm going with you.'

Robin Cousins agreed, saying: 'You both stepped up and offered much stronger performances, but I save Chico.'

Katarina Witt completed the unanimous vote, adding: 'You both nailed it and you both went for it like you had nothing to lose. I'm going for Chico too.'

Jayne Torvill also had her say, joking: 'He used to bring me cakes so I'm going to miss that!'

Moment of truth: Chico learns that he has been saved after performing well in the skate-off

Saying goodbye: Sam was voted off despite scoring 22, as Andy Whyment landed bottom with 19

As his fiancée cheered him on in the audience, Sam said: 'This experience has been a privilege. And this woman here has been absolutely awesome.'

The evening was a spectacle of PVC trousers, guyliner and fake tattoos, with the only thing missing from the rink being a moshpit.

Matthew Wolfenden opened Rock Week with an effortless performance to iconic Queen track Don't Stop Me Now - but was still pipped to the post by Jorgie Porter who beat him by 0.5 of a point.

The Emmerdale actor earned himself 26 out of a possible 30, just two points off his triumphant 28 from last week when it was his turn to shine at the top of the leaderboard.

Where's the mohawk? Matthew Wolfenden slipped into his leathers and donned faked tattoos for Rock Week

Louie, who rewarded him with a 9, couldn't resist gushing over his teacher's pet.

He exclaimed: 'You said it was messy, it was edgy for me! People tell me I can't say if I have favourites, but I so can and you're one of them!'

Katarina added: 'You rocked the ice and you rocked the audience. I'm glad Christopher (Dean) & Jayne (Torvill) push you further and further.'

Despite a near-miss injury in rehearsal, in which Jorgie came close to taking out Matt Evers' eye, the couple bravely kept in their neck spin.

Brave: Louie Spence praised Matthew, revealing he is one of his favourites

Level-pegging: Matthew and Jorgie have been topping the leaderboard, but Chico is hot on their tails

Their theatrical performance to Bring Me To Life by Evanescence clearly deserved the 26.5 - which catapulted them to the top of the leaderboard.

Robin gave a 9, crediting their pairing as 'all-encompassing', while Katarina, who also gave a 9, said: 'For me to watch you, it's always "Wow!" It was theatrical and even dark and very strong.

'And Matt, you can have three more scars on your face and you still look beautiful.'

However Louie said the performance suffered and was 'hesitant' because of the previous injury - which resulted in Matt having stitches.

Dangerous: Jorgie Porter and Matt Evers kept in the neck spin the resulted in an earlier injury

Jorgie was relived to have completed it, saying: 'I'd rather do the headbanger 14 times in a row than do that.'

While Matt was pleased to reveal: 'I had the best doctor in the world, there no scars expected and well done to Jorgie for carrying on.'

Chemmy Alcott appeared to have recovered from last week's skate-off, which saw Heidi Range and Sébastien Foucan be given their marching orders in a double elimination.

Triumphant: Jorgie scored 26.5 with her routing to Bring Me To Life by Evanescence

Sensual: Matt pretended to wake Jorgie up with a kiss

Dancing to Kelly Clarkson's power ballad Stronger, the professional skier slipped into a purple costume and balanced a heavily hairsprayed mane atop her head to morph into a rock chick.

She said: 'That song is so me, there's a lyric that says what doesn't kill me makes me stronger. It's so true, especially after my accident.'

While Robin Windsor did criticise her 'fumbles', he praised her skating for being 'strong and powerful'.

Blonde ambition: Chico dyes his hair blonde for Rock Week to dance to Mony Mony - and scored 24.5

Not quite Ringo Starr: Chico started off his theatrics with a drumming session

Katarina said: 'I've liked you from the beginning. With all of your energy, you're more of a rockstar on the ice than the pretty snow queens... but it could have been more explosive and out of control.'

She offered a final pearl of wisdom: 'Just keep going in this direction.'

Louie stressed that while it was Chemmy's strongest dance performance so far, she 'lost a bit of personality' by focusing too much on the moves.

Smiling again: Sébastien Foucan and Heidi Range were seen in the audience, having been voted off last week

The spirit of Rock Week: Even Christine Bleakley ruffled up her long locks for a bed hair vibe

Looking every inch the ice princess in an elegant white dress, Jennifer Ellison put in a romantic and ethereal performance with Daniel Whiston.

She finally broke the under 20 curse, receiving 22 points for her efforts to Total Eclipse Of The Heart.

The mother-of-one nearly broke down in tears as Katarina said: 'I think I see a different Jennifer this week! Today, you really had power and speed in your legs. I see a very confident Jennifer.'

Robin said: 'You were using your blades because you wanted to use them, not because Daniel wanted to push you.'

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger: Chemmy Alcott danced to Stronger by Kelly Clarkson

Daring: Chemmy is becoming more adventurous in her moves, with Robin saying she is 'strong and powerful'

And referencing Jen's slice to the head after a scorpion kick went wrong in the Valentine's show, Louie said: 'It wasn't quite as good as decapitation week, but that's going to take a lot of beating.'

Manchester lad Andy Whyment channelled his inner Gallagher gene, dancing to Don't Look Back In Anger with Vicky Ogden.

However, he was left visibly disappointed with his score, as the only skater failing to reach the twenties with a total of 19.

Robin gave a 6.5 with his critique, saying: 'It was emotionless. What you're feeling is not being seen by us.'

Louie leapt to his defence, saying: 'I would have liked you to have emoted a bit more... they don't understand emotion like us!'

Reduced to tears: Jennifer Ellison was emotional after the judges praised her and Daniel Whiston

Over the moon! Jennifer was clearly elated to receive her highest mark of 22

But Katarina continued: 'I wanted to give you all the points, I think it was a very difficult choice of music as everyone else is being rock and roll but you played the cool guy. I missed you going crazy.'

Andy was quick to bite back with a sarcastic quip: 'Do you want me to do a triple axle to Don't Look Back In Anger?'

Sam was elated to manoeuvre the frog lift, which was dropped from last week due to an injury.

Skating to Human by The Killers, he managed to hold partner Alexandra Schauman in the position with only a minor wobble.

Disappointed: Andy Whyment was gutted not to reach the twenties, receiving a total of 19 with Vicky Ogden

Channelling his inner Gallagher gene: Andy' guitar playing skills weren't enough to save him from coming last

After receiving his highest score of 22, he said: 'That frog lift can go and kiss my backside. We've only done it three times this week without any assistance - that was the third!'

Louie gave a generous 8, saying: 'I think you have the best arms in the competition. When you hit a line, you really his it beautifully.'

Robin agreed, adding: 'You went with every movement with conviction. It's lovely to see the collective come together.'

Chico threw himself into the spirit of the theme, bleaching his hair peroxide blonde.

Improvements: Sam Nixon and Alexandra Schauman scored 22 for their routine to Human by The Killers

He even had a session on the drums before launching into an impressive routine with Jodeyne Higgins to earn 24.5 - his highest yet.

He dedicated the act to his friend 'little Anthony' who suffers from muscular dystrophy and is undergoing an operation tomorrow.

Louie applauded him with an 8.5, saying: 'You are a born performer! Really Chico, you are a big surprise.'

While Katarina said: 'It was full of energy, power and wildness. This is rock and roll and that's exactly what I got from you.'
