Tonight's Wembley show? I expect I was expecting too much because I was looking forward to it so much. But, I felt the arena was too big, the sound awful and I was unable to get a good look at the actual dancers because the camera was usually anywhere but their feet. I wish they had stuck with Blackpool.

Agrees, I thought it was pretty rubbish tonight, I thought the dancers were not as good either, the sound and accoustics was bad too, like you say, Blackpool was better. I suppose the good point was that they made a lot of money for Children in Need with the seat sales

I didn't enjoy it either, maybe it was better if you were there.
I agree and have said myself that it was too big, the acoustics were dreadful and no atmosphere came through to the TV. I do think that it affected the dancers and I really didn't enjoy it at all tonight

Before you criticise someone walk a mile in their shoes. That way when you do criticise them you'll be a mile away and you'll have their shoes.

Add me to the list agreeing. Most of the celebs looked to be struggling to cope with the scale of the floor, and the acoustics were lousy.
Mind you, I've been generally less than impressed with the series as a whole, so my expectations weren't that high to begin with!

i am glad someone else didnt rate the show tonight, it was awful in that the camera work the sound and lots more, the general size and especially that stupid stage in the middle that they had to dance round ...
and also having to put up weatching the antics of brendan and james in the background all the time behind tess, like a couple of three year olds ....lol....

I was so disappointed! The floor was far too big, the sound was awful and the dancers looked lost! but I think this whole series has been very poor. None of the dancers are really great and I can hardly bear to watch the judges any more. they are turning into pantomime caricatures of themselves. As for Bruno, shouldn't cottaging in public be illegal? We all know he's gay, but there's a limit!!

I noticed James and Brendan too Jaccii. Really annoying. Like two kids allowed to stay up late and had had too much sugar and as for Bruno, I quite agree lizzieann its about time they reminded the pillock that children watch the show, ged rid of him please Edited by Toots - 20 Nov 2011 at 01:04 |

I totally agree with what everyone has said on here! When the camera's showed the dancers it was either from a very great distance, or it was so close we weren't able to see their feet, I actually think I saw more of the audience than the dancers. The show dance had me confused from the start, first I thought I saw the professionals, then there were suddenly other dancers, and did we see the 'celebs at the end?? As for the judging... the couples were so far away that judging, in my opinion, were almost impossible! It was a shamble from beginning to end and I bet the SCD team will get it in the neck.

At least Brucie didn't blinking sing! The whole thing though, was a dis-arrrstarrr daaaarling wasn't it?
Poor Holly went back to the sterile performance because she was with Atrem. I'm not blaming the man, the chemistry just didn't work... no one's fault, nobody could have known in advance, but if she had been with Brendan I think she would have made the final Anita was dragged through her routine and looked as if she deserved to be in the bottom 2. Personally, I didn't see one dance that had me off my feet. I was so bored with the whole thing, I had another G&T just to get me through it all. And as for thr pro dance opener... what was that all about...? who were the men in black...? did the slebs make an appearance at the end...? Who dressed Tess..? where's Gok Wan when you want him? I shall be glad to get back to the nice cosy studio next week |

I would love to see Gok lending a hand and dressing the ladies one week. I would be interested to see his take on costuming, especially for the older ladies. As for the cosy studio, in my day I loved a large floor as you could really stride out, but for the celebs it is probably best to be in a smaller more compact arena. |

I think that they all felt they had to 'go large' to fill the huge floor space. It didn't work at all for those of us watching at home. If SCD want to go out to the public again, why not use the Royal Albert Hall? It has a capacity of at least 5000, so would fulfil the 'huge crowd' requirement. The accoustics would be fantastic, the dance floor wouldn't be too vast, and the TV audience would get a better view of the dancing. Saturday was much too frentic, and you couldn't see much of the dancing at all. Please, SCD, listen to the fans. |

We are going to a dinner dance on Saturday evening, and for the first time since Strictly began we aren't going to record it to watch later. The show seems to be lack lustre this year for us and the final straw was Wembly.
This series there hasn't been any dancer who took your breath away with their performance and I can't see someone making so much progress that they will do it before the end of the series. Such a shame that it has gone downhill so quickly |
