Shamed Frankie Cocozza arrives home after being kicked off the X Factor as contestants and judges react to the news
Shamed wannabe taken back home to Brighton

Was overheard by production staff boasting about his Saturday night shenanigans
Gary Barlow 'still in shock' over his act's departure
Frankie was 'off his face' during Sunday night's results show after getting just 30 minutes sleep the night before

For someone who was unceremoniously booted off the X Factor over drug allegations, Frankie Cocozza really doesn't have anything to smile about.

But that didn't stop the cocky young wannabe grinning at the cameras as he arrived home in Brighton today.

The hood of his jacket covering his infamous big hairdo, he smiled as he made his way inside the house flanked by what looked like a security guard.

Clutching a laptop and headphones, the 18-year-old was also joined by a member of the X Factor crew as he was dropped off home after a scand-filled 24 hours which saw him lose his place on the show.

The wild young singer axed from the show following claims he 'boasted about cocaine-fuelled sex sessions'.

He admitted he had spun out of control during his time on the show in an apologetic statement.

Today mentor Gary Barlow and his former fellow contestants took to their Twitter pages to react to the news.

And X Factor boss Simon Cowell also spoke out about his disappointment.

After giving a statement immediately after the news broke about his young act, Barlow took to his Twitter page this morning and wrote: 'Wow,I'm still in shock after yesterday.'

Contender for the X Factor crown Misha B took to her page and wrote, 'Gonna miss me sum Frankie :(',

While 'Overs' singer Kitty Brucknell added: 'sad sad day.'

Another bookies' favourite, Marcus Collins, wrote, 'he will b missed so much xx.'

But show boss Cowell offered the singer little comfort and said Frankie had no one to blame but himself.

Speaking to the Sun, he said: 'Frankie's blown a wonderful opportunity. It's very sad, but he has no one to blame but himself.'

Cocozza was seen leaving the X Factor house with his belongings yesterday evening after being axed from the show following claims he 'boasted about cocaine-fuelled sex sessions'.

The wannabe rockstar was ordered to leave the house yesterday morning after he had 'broken a golden rule', which it soon emerged was related to drug use.

Frankie was spotted leaving the Hertfordshire mansion as night fell with his suitcase in hand.

The teen spoke to camera crew before he got into a waiting taxi and departed.

The 18-year-old released an apologetic statement admitting his life had 'gone out of control' and that his behaviour off stage had 'over-stepped the rules of the competition'.

Frankie was allegedly overheard by production staff bragging about his Saturday night shenanigans, which forced them to break the news to their superiors.

Sources claim that Cocozza was 'off his face' during Sunday night's results show after getting just 30 minutes of sleep following his hard partying the night before.

Despite his questionable vocals and inflated opinion of himself, the teen seemed to be winning over the public.

He escaped the bottom two last weekend, which saw the shock dismissal of boy band The Risk and Johnny Robinson.

But now Frankie's backstage antics and wild behaviour have seen him get the boot from producers and he has been sent home packing.

On Tuesday afternoon, a statement was released, with Frankie saying: 'I’d like to apologise to Gary, my fellow contestants and everyone who has voted for me, but, as of today, I will no longer be in The X Factor.

'My life during the show has gone out of control and my behaviour off stage has over-stepped the rules of the competition.

'I no longer deserve my place in the show, so I am therefore leaving. I would like to thank everyone who has supported me.'

Last night a senior show insider was unforgiving about the wannabe’s dismissal, telling the Daily Mail: ‘Frankie is the worst role model we have ever had on the show.

'We couldn’t have someone who thinks they are the next Pete Doherty - and more importantly, acting like it - performing to millions of impressionable children and teenagers. We did what we had to do and told Frankie to go.'

No news has been released yet about who, if anyone, will take his place, however Tulisa's group The Risk are widely rumoured to be returning.
The spokeperson added: 'We'll make an announcement about Saturday's show tomorrow.
