X Factor Jedward get Little Mix up

LOUIS Walsh wants to be the next Cilla Black — by playing matchmaker with Jedward and X Factor group Little Mix.

The judge says he wants to set up the dozy twins, who he still manages, with two girls from Tulisa Contostavlos' band.

Louis, 59, said: "I could see Jedward on a double date with the Little Mix girls. I'll have to sort something out, get the twins back in the studio. Watch this space."

Louis said the Irish twins, real names John and Edward Grimes, 20, get mail from around the world from adoring fans.

But the pair have never had girlfriends.

Meanwhile, Louis has claimed that X Factor boss Simon Cowell didn't care about the UK show — because he's busy starring in the American version.

Talking about Simon's comments on the series — beaten by BBC1's Strictly Come Dancing in the ratings for the first time in four years last Saturday — Louis said: "Simon's only ever interested in stuff if it includes him."

He also had a go at Simon's replacement, Gary Barlow — sniping at his appearance.

Louis said: "It takes up to five people to do his hair, make-up and styling."

Talking about Gary criticising his act Johnny Robinson's fashion sense, Louis added: "Gary slagging off anyone's style is a joke. Er, hello? Have you seen his early Take That videos.

"Cycling shorts and chainmail vests? I rest my case. The outfits were atrocious: he was nearly naked in some of 'em!"

And Louis hit back at Gary, 40, after he claimed he didn't spend enough time with his acts, Johnny and Kitty Brucknell.

He said: "It's false. I love Gary and have the utmost respect for him. I'm a mentor and my role is to guide my acts.

"The only reason Gary does stuff like taking his contestants running is because he needs to watch his weight. Only joking!"

But he also stuck the knife in when discussing Gary's controversial hopeful Frankie Cocozza, 19.

Frankie, who narrowly avoided elimination, has been scolded by bosses for having wild nights out while taking part in the show.

Louis hinted he thought Frankie should have left the competition last Sunday, when Sophie Habibis got the boot.

He said: "I was shocked Frankie wasn't up there facing elimination, and Misha B should never have been in the bottom two."

Louis also stood up for Alexandra Burke, who filled in for sick Kelly Rowland last weekend.

He said: "I was impressed. Nobody knows how tough it is sat there without an autocue. She handled herself impeccably."
