Cheryl Cole has to go to the US embassy in London to apply for a visa to be paid for her work on the US version of 'X Factor'.

Cheryl Cole has been told to apply for a visa to get paid for her work on the US 'X Factor'.
Producers Fremantle are reportedly trying to avoid paying the British singer - who was sensationally sacked from the job after just four audition recordings - the £1.2 million she was contracted and are demanding she goes to the US consulate in London to apply for a visa.
A source told the Hollywood Reporter: "They don't want to pay her. It's a chess match."

According to the insider, Cheryl - who has not yet been officially fired from the job on 'X Factor', but is believed to have been replaced by Nicole Scherzinger - wants to be paid for the work she has performed on the show "out of principle" because she "moved her whole life to Los Angeles" on the back of the job.

She now intends to apply for the visa so she can appear as a judge on the final edit of the show.

It has been claimed that she will either be referred to as a "guest" panellist when the auditions she presided over are aired, or the whole drama behind her dismissal will be included.
The 27-year-old beauty is said to be firmly of the belief Simon is behind her sacking as he thought she would happily return to the UK version of the show, on which she had appeared for three years until 2010.

The source added: "He thinks he can move people around like chess pieces."
Cheryl reportedly turned down a £2.8 million offer to reappear as a judge on the UK 'X Factor', which began filming on Wednesday (01.06.11).
