Philip Taylor’s take on The Apprentice

May 22 2011 by Coreena Ford, Sunday Sun

THE action is hotting up in The Apprentice boardroom as well as the bedroom if what we read is true! Apparently Zoe and Glenn are getting it on! Who would be stupid enough to throw away a £100,000 job over a beautiful woman? Errm. . . that would be me but who cares, good for them.

It was a great episode this week. The candidates were given £2,000 to buy a load of stuff for the Savoy.

While you guys were all screaming at the TV “Google it!” when they didn’t know what a 10 inch Cloche was, YOU’RE NOT ALLOWED TO USE THE INTERNET! That task would have been a hard slog, believe me.

Now I have that of my chest let’s get down to the action. Gavin, who I pointed out in week one, got the finger and he deserved it in my view.

It took him three hours to leave the office which is suicide on a task. I know people thought I may have come across a little confident and abrupt but this guy had a chip on his shoulder. I found him rude and not very likable and I’m glad good old Vincent crushed him in the boardroom.

I was impressed by Vincent, yes he is slightly delusional but when the chips were down he was all action.

Susan did a great job as PM and is incredibly likable but I can see Susan and Sugar working together. Susan is sweet but Sugar ain’t! (See what I did there?).

My other big characters are Felicity and Melody who are looking like the strong females this year. These girls are bringing the laughs and long may it continue.

The prize for the winning team was a trip to a Circus Cabaret Bar which consisted of two beautiful performers in leotards spinning on a trapeze inches from your head. With that in mind I’m off . . . taxi!
