THE race to be a Big Brother contestant has officially begun.

From today, Brits across the country who want to be first inside the brand new fly-on-the-wall Big Brother house can apply online.

Later this summer Channel 5 will bring the hit reality show back to life.

And fans will be treated to a celebrity version before telly’s most famous house is handed over to the show’s real stars, the British public.

Big Brother bosses will be holding open auditions around the country throughout the summer, the details of which will be revealed in the coming weeks.

But dedicated fans can visit bigbrotherauditions.com to be first in line to apply for the show.

The official application website has gone live today, giving you the chance to make history by being among the first housemates inside Big Brother’s hot new home.

Jeff Ford, Channel 5 Director Of Programmes, said: “Channel 5 will bring a completely fresh perspective to the Big Brother phenomenon and, by inviting people to apply for the show online, we hope to assemble the most entertaining and captivating house yet

“We’re looking forward to seeing the full array of applications, either online or in person.”

Bosses are keeping tight-lipped about what the new house will look like. But with a theme of “decadence” already announced, fans are sure to be in for a treat.

And the show’s famous “voice”, Marcus Bentley, can’t wait to resume his role.

The 43-year-old Geordie, whose distinctive day-by-day descriptions of life in the house made him a star, said he was eagerly waiting to get back to work.

Fans were still guessing who will take over the biggest role on the show – the host.

Davina McCall, 43, said that she was happy to hand over the job to someone new but she will continue to watch the show as its biggest fan.

Her decision to bow out has left many wondering who will replace her.

Big Brother’s Little Brother host Emma Willis, 35, is the frontrunner.

And Ultimate BB champion Brian Dowling, 32, is also in the race.
