Making Mama Grizzly proud! Bristol Palin claws her way through to Dancing With The Stars semi-finals
By
Daily Mail Reporter She's been branded the 'underdog' of the competition by judge Len Goodman, but Bristol Palin managed to survive yet another round of Dancing With The Stars. The daughter of former Alaskan governor Sarah Palin last night made it through to the semi-finals despite coming at the bottom of the leaderboard. The 20-year-old mother of one
had said on Monday night that she was hoping to make her parents
'proud', and it seems she did just that.
Shuffling on through: Bristol Palin and partner Mark Ballas made it through to the Dancing With The Stars semi-finals despite coming last on the leaderboard
Gracious in defeat: Kurt Warner and his dance partner Anna Trebunskaya were sent home tonight NFL star Kurt Warner and his dance partner Anna Trebunskaya were instead eliminated from the show. Palin will now compete against Jennifer Grey and Brandy, who both came equal first on last night's performance show, as well as Disney star Kyle Massey. Warner, a retired Super Bowl MVP, was
gracious in defeat, saying: 'I learned a long time ago that life isn't
always about winning and losing competitions, but it's about
relationships, it's about impacting people.
Safe: Jennifer Grey and her partner Derek Hough made it through, along with fellow judges' favourites Brandy and Maksim Chermkovskiy
Thrilled: Kyle Massey and partner Lacey Schwimmer couldn't hide their joy as they were voted through 'And so, I thank everybody at 'Dancing with the Stars' because they gave me an opportunity to impact people and build relationships, and that's really what it's all about.' Judge Bruno Tonoli said: 'You really are an American idol.' Meanwhile, professional dancer Maksim Chermkovskiy, who is partnered with Brandy, continued his feud with judge Carrie Ann Inaba.
Shakin' it: While Bristol struggled to win top scores for her performances on Monday, she did manage to win over the voting public
Mama Grizzly: Sarah Palin and her husband Todd watched their daughter rehearse ahead of Monday night's show
Carrie Ann last night directed her critique at him for not giving Brandy enough to do in their cha-cha. And while Maksim apologised to fans for losing his 'cool', it was clear tensions were still running high tonight. Carrie Ann attempted to smooth things over as the show came to a close, saying: '[To all the pros] I've always respected all of you. I hope that you will let it go.' The waltz done by Brandy and Maks was wonderful. I would like them to win - whilst I appreciate Jennifer has injuries - I think the continual emphasis of these in the trailers is painting a negative impression and making her look like a cry baby - not that I am be-littling her problems. Just think it doesn't show her in a good light. Brandy comes across as far more gutsy and determined to me. |

yes, I agree that much is down to editing BUT it is the edited version that the public sees. However, I am sure that Jennifer will have huge support. I also think she is brilliant given her more mature years and medical problems, just think it is a shame if the way she is being portrayed is unfair to her.
