X Factor boyband star is secret drag queen

X FACTOR boot campers FYD are hiding a secret from show boss Simon Cowell - one band member has been moonlighting as a DRAG QUEEN.

The five-piece boyband are being primed as the new JLS by TV chiefs, who hope teenage girls will vote for them in their thousands.

But TV Biz can reveal that Kalvin Lamey is rather more camp than he has let on.

Our photo, above right, shows him wearing fake boobs, red lipstick, false eyelashes and a flower in his wig.

He has also been snapped pouting in a PVC bra-top and in a silver mini-dress with black lacy tights and high-heeled peep-toe shoes.

A source close to the band, who impressed judges on last Saturday's show, told TV Biz: "Kalvin will be horrified this has come out. Doing drag is a bit like being in disguise - he never thought anyone would recognise him under all that make-up.

"The other band members are totally supportive of his drag past." Our photo - from when Kalvin performed with The Globe Girls act - may come as a shock to show bosses.

But our other shots of the band, whose name stands for Follow Your Destiny, could be an eye-opener for fellow contestants.

Our pictures prove at least two members of FYD have previous links with X Factor, having worked as backing dancers with past winners Joe McElderry and Alexandra Burke.

Kalvin and bandmate Matthew "Boots" Newtion were also pals with last year's finalists Jedward and Danyl Johnson. Now the band - whose other members are Ryan Lee Seager, Alex Murdoch and Jordan Gabriel - hope other acts won't hold the revelations against them.

Our source said: "Boots and Kalvin worked on X Factor last year and that was when they decided they wanted to be part of the show properly. So they got together with some mates to audition.

"They're worried the photos of them look bad now. It's embarrassing for them. They don't want the public to think it's a fix and stop voting for them."

TV Biz has previously told how FYD were ordered to change their name.

They were originally FYE - For Your Entertainment. But that is also the name of a kinky sex store.
