Dancing with the Stars has announced their new lineup for season 10, and they sure chose a mix of good of celebrities. The announcement was made after the finale of The Bachelor on Monday night. Then on Tuesday morning, it was revealed on Good Morning America which professionals the stars would be paired with. Here is the lineup:

  • Glamor model and former showgirl Pamela Anderson (most famous for Baywatch) with pro Damian Whitewood
  • ESPN sideline reporter Erin Andrews with pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy
  • Kate Gosselin from Jon & Kate Plus 8 with pro Tony Dovolani
  • Pussycat Dolls singer/songwriter/dancer Nicole Scherzinger with pro Derek Hough
  • Comedian and actress Niecy Nash with pro Louis Van Amstel
  • Shannen Doherty from 90210 and Charmed with pro Mark Ballas
  • Jake Pavelka from The Bachelor with pro Chelsea Hightower
  • Cincinnati Bengals receiver Chad Ochocinco with pro Cheryl Burke
  • Medical engineer and former astronaut Buzz Aldrin with pro Ashley Costa
  • Olympic figure skating gold medalist Evan Lysacek with pro Anna Trebunskaya
  • Aiden Turner from soap All My Children with pro Edyta Sliwinska

It seems that the most popular member in the lineup this season is Pamela Anderson, as everybody is talking about the sex symbol being in the competition. However, many people are also curious to see Kate Gosselin and Jake Pavelka on the show, while Buzz Aldrin and Chad Ochocinco are the odd choices (there are always a couple).

Dancing with the Stars executive producer Conrad Green says that this is definitely one of their strongest casts ever, and they should be really interesting to watch. It’s fitting that their tenth season finally landed many of the stars they have been trying to get on the show since the beginning, he continued, adding that this season has potential to be the most memorable.

Looks like DWTS is once again gonna kick Strictly's butt!
Catwoman: "For one if I was a bloke, I would not flirt with you two. I have standards."
Toots: "If I had a figure like Ola's, I'd wear that outfit to Sainsburys!"

Buzz Aldrin taking one small foxtrot for man, a giant waltz for mankind.

Nice to see Nicole Sherzinger in the line-up - she is Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiicccccccccccccccccccceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!

BBC did show DWTS once upon a time, it will no doubt end up on something like Watch! here in the UK.

Fabulous line up.  Lots of interesting celebs.  I particularly like the inclusion of Kate Gossling, even though I would question whether she is a celebrity, more famous, but even so, at this stage I am willing her to do well.

6 female celebs and only 5 male celebs - is there somebody missing from this list or is it deliberate?

And confirmation of that fact from my TV bible, ie: the Radio Times.
