X FACTOR twins Jedward will team up with rapper Vanilla Ice for their debut single.

John and Edward Grimes, 18, are joining the US star to record a new version of his hit Ice Ice Baby.

The 42-year-old singer, real name Robert Matthew Van Winkle, is hoping the pair will reignite his career.

Jedward manager and X Factor mentor Louis Walsh said: "They are beyond excited about working with Vanilla Ice - I've never seen them so excited."

The Dublin lads proved they were Vanilla Ice fans when they did the Ice Ice Baby rap during an X Factor live show.

They mashed it with Queen hit Under Pressure. Its bassline was sampled for Ice's 1990 UK No1.

Vanilla Ice was so impressed he contacted the twins about a duet.

A source said: "Ice couldn't wait to work with the boys after seeing their performance.

"He thought it was genius and now sees the chance to bring his record to a much younger audience.

"The boys even look like he did back in the early days."

I bloody love that song as well Cry (or I DID!)

I've got about 20 remixes of Ice Ice Baby with this one being my fave
