What a load of rubbish!

The poll was conducted by asking over 100 gay actors, comedians, musicians, writers, critics, performance artists, label reps and DJs to list the ten most important albums of their lives.

100? Hardly conclusive!

1. David Bowie: The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars (1972)
2. The Smiths: The Smiths (1984)
3. Tracy Chapman: Tracy Chapman (1988)
4. Indigo Girls: Indigo Girls (1989)
5. Judy Garland: Judy at Carnegie Hall (1961)
6. The Smiths: The Queen Is Dead (1986)
7. Elton John: Goodbye Yellow Brick Road (1973)
8. Madonna: The Immaculate Collection (1990)
9. Cyndi Lauper: She's So Unusual (1983)
10. Antony and the Johnsons: I Am a Bird Now (2005)

I've got Immaculate Collection and that's it! I think that and Confessions are the only two albums I've ever owned where all the tracks are great (apart from beginning of Isaac)

PISH. Glam rock and guitar-fondling lesbo-banshees are not gay music, not in the accepted sense anyway. Everybody knows it's all about disco dancing. This just smacks of 100 hellbound perverts trying to look as if they have some taste and don't actually love Sinitta.

I swear to God, if I was the sort of dreary nancy who bypassed Lady Gaga and Madonna in favour of the Smiths or Tracy Chapman, I would slit my own windpipe (that sort of music would drive me to it anyway).

I'm loving the GaGa all over again, have you heard the bonus tracks from The Fame?

The only one I have is the Immaculate Collection but I feel a personal list of the gayest albums I own is on the cards when I get home.
