Didn't for the first time seem like something hubby had run up yesterday from a sheet from Bolton market!!
It actually looked like a Victoria Beckham number to me! quite classy for Tess.
Enjoyed all the dresses tonight, and they did appear to be dresses too tonight, no bikini's with frills on them!
The Paso frocks were lovely, always like them.
Loved the men's chests too! with/without the fuzz/hair
Absolutely loved Ola's hair too. Best 'hair-do' of the night imo.
Worst hair-do , her hubby still.
Talking of Barnet's what has Alesha done with her's i don't like it straight, flat, and parted in the middle, She had fabulous styles when dancing, don't they get use of the hairdresser on the judge's panel!!

I agree with Deb about Alesha's hair, I don't think it was as flattering to her as other styles she has had. Anyway, onto the dresses ... !
Tess: the absolute best she has looked so far. Great dress, she looked fab.
Ali: Gorgeous. I love the mix of colours in the skirt and the icy tones suit her colouring. Beautiful old fashioned style, that danced well.
Lynda: Her dress for the group dance last week was far more flattering to her figure. The red frills did nothing for her.
Ola: lovely dress, I liked the frilly shoulder bits and the colour suits her. Didn't like her hair - looked like she'd got stuck in a wind tunnel.
Zoe: lovely dress and she looked great in it , just wish it had been a different colour. I think red is best suited to brunettes.
Aliona: nice dress but the bow on the back should have been ditched - it just bounced around too much. Wasn't keen on the sheer insert down her back, would have looked better without that and the fingerless gloves were just a touch too much.
Natalie: lovely dress, i liked the sparkly godees which gave her a lot of skirt to swish around, but kept it nice and streamlined over the hips.
Flavia: can't abide pink but I liked the way the dress danced. Nice contrast in the underskirt.
Natalie: I didn't mind the clashing colours, I just thought that it looked out of proportion on her.
Jade: pink again (ick) but a lovely cut and it danced really well. I thought the decoration and line was spoilt however, by the belt styling at the waist, and thouht it would have looked much nicer with just the silver down the front and back, with nothing intersecting it.
Kristina: lovely colour, suited her nicely
Laila: another old fashioned styling and she looked lovely, except for the floats at the wrists. For me it gets in the way of those beautiful arm lines.
Jo: I liked this one. Lots of movement and an unusual material. A busy design can cover a multitude and I rather think that this was in the minds eye of the designer, but I thought it was nice.
Katya: kind of 'meh' for me. Not keen on the humbug stripes and the three quarter sleeve added nothing in terms of styling. Not the best she has looked.
Erin: Lovely. Good line, liked the lace back, plenty of movement in the skirt.

Have to agree loved Jade and Ian's outfits last night. Not sure about the dresses in general this year they seem to be favour more pale colours which aren't really doing anything for me and don't really think they suit some of the celebs as well either. Although Laila did suit the paler colour but thought the bright red of her tango dress was best on her. Didn't think the colour flattered Lynda though but Ali does suit them.

Tess: oh dear, after looking superb last week we're back to the red one shouldered style. Do you think there's a job lot going cheap at the Beeb?
Ali: loved the dress but not the colour. Ali does suit the pale icy tones but this didn't seem to have been a definite colour. Would have preferred something more vibrant on her.
Lynda: I liked the style but not the colour. They seem to be using a lot of this latte/skin coloured maerial this year. Humph!
Ola: another dress seemingly stuck on with superglue. She looked stunning and I thought Chris was funny saying that it was hard to concentrate with it all going on out there!!
Zoe: lovely and elegant. Danced well and really suited her.
Natalie: not over keen on the bodice but the skirt was fab.
Flavia: I've noticed that her dresses are fairly light on the sparkles, she seems tof avout plain, matt materials. Dress beautiful, understated, danced well, but grey isn't c olour that does it for me.
Natalie: didn't like it. skirt looked like an afterthought tacked onto a leotard.
Jade: lots of frills to show off her movements, but I think there were just a tad too many of them. She looks great in red.
Kristina: not keen. loved the cool blue colour but not the swoosh of purple feathers down the back
Laila: great cut terrible colour. Washed out and did nothing for her.

I don't think the BBC costume department have anything to do with Tess's outfits. I read somewhere that she gets them from various designers - probably for nothing! Doesn't say a lot for some of our current desginers though.

When I saw Tess walking down the stairs at the start of the show I thought she was doing the whole 'yummy mummy' back in shape after the baby thing. Which she was, in that lovely skin tight frock, so tight she couldn't cock her leg up at Brucie!
But, goodness, can't she get some proper, balancing boob support for any of her frocks? She always looks lopsided!! Get a decent bra or some proper underwiring!! (PS I know this isn't frock-related, but what has she had done to her face????) Edited by spotster - 17 Oct 2009 at 22:37 |

Don't know if you watch DWTS but Joanna wore something similar but in yellow for her Salsa (her first dance), and THAT was a good dance

Loved Jade's dress on her! and Ian's 'oil slick' pants.
Flavia can wear anything too, but nice hair tonight Flavs.
Don't take notes so trying to remember who else looked good out there.
I actually like pro-dancer Natalie's frilly outfit, suited her.
and liked Tuffers and Katja in matching greeny/blue
why can't poor Tess wear a few frilly/feathery numbers, instead of plain jane frocks????
Even Alesha on the judging panel wears way better frock's than Tess, What's going on there??? (sound like Peter kay now!!)
Now... He'd be a good host.....
He can dance like an uncle on the dance floor anyday.

I thought Jade's dress was awful (it looked like moths had attacked it).
