I'm not surprised in the slightest, Corrie is appalling at the moment.

I wet myself at Fonejacker. Star Stories shouldn't win, it was too hit and miss.

Has Corrie had many big storylines recently? Norris and Blanche should get the award for comedy performance.  A two-hander with them would be brilliant.

TV Bafta noms snub Corrie

CORONATION Street has been sensationally snubbed by Bafta judges for the first time in 10 years.

The Bill, Emmerdale, EastEnders and Holby City will battle it out for best continuing drama at the British Academy Television Awards on April 20.

Presenters Ant and Dec and Jonathan Ross have also been snubbed, failing to pick up a single nomination. Ross has won best entertainment performance for the last two years - but controversially failed to show last year.

And Ricky Gervais has been dealt another blow with sidekick Stephen Merchant up for his comedy performance for the Extras Xmas special.

Reality TV triumphs as Britain’s Got Talent goes head-to-head with Strictly Come Dancing in the entertainment programme category, however, X Factor is noticably absent.

Meanwhile, BBC drama Cranford and its star Dame Judi Dench are dominating the nominations list with three nods

Dame Judi is now the most Bafta nominated actress, with 24 nods for her work in TV and film combined.
